Throughout my life, I have been using songwriting to cope with the philosophical and existential challenges I have struggled with. When times are hard, and sometimes when they are good, writing a song about it always helps me better process what I am experiencing. Broke LJ is the culmination of that artistic drive, showcasing these musical works tackling topics like mental health, substance abuse, homelessness, grief, and more. If you are struggling, I want you to know that your brain is a lying bitch, there are people in your community that care and are willing to help, and that it can and does get better.
